IFC Films has announced that WEREWOLVES WITHIN, a live action feature film based on the popular virtual-reality game of mystery and social deception from Ubisoft, will be available to Canadian audiences on demand on Apple TV beginning July 2, 2021. WEREWOLVES WITHIN is the first film to be developed through the Ubisoft Film & Television Women’s Film and Television Fellowship, a program introduced in 2017 to promote the voices of women and non-binary, trans, gender-nonconforming, and gender-variant people within the entertainment industry. Inaugural fellowship recipient Mishna Wolff, best-selling author of critically-acclaimed memoir I’M DOWN, wrote the script and teamed up with Josh Ruben (SCARE ME), to bring the horror-comedy to life.
WEREWOLVES WITHIN, which premiered recently at the Tribeca Film Festival, stars an ensemble cast including Sam Richardson (VEEP, DETROITERS), Milana Vayntrub (THIS IS US) and Harvey Guillen (WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS) as they attempt to keep the peace, all while trying to uncover the truth of what is terrorizing the community, when a snowstorm traps a group of strangers together inside a local inn.
“WEREWOLVES WITHIN is a wild and hilarious film adaptation of Ubisoft’s genius original game concept and we are so thrilled to bring this entertaining whodunnit to audiences this summer,” said Arianna Bocco, President at IFC Films.
To celebrate the release, the director and cast of WERWOLVES WITHIN join Ubisoft News and TWDUniverse on Twitch for a live commentary of the film on Friday July 2. Viewers can follow along by syncing their rental of the film with the stream. For more info, visit the Ubisoft Twitch channel
