Mrs. America is Coming to Canada on Wednesday Nights on FX and FX NOW, Starting April 15

Following Rogers’s announcement to offer its customers a free preview of FX (@FX_Canada), the specialty channel is now available to more Canadians for free until May 11.

The FX free preview comes just in time for one of the year’s most anticipated new series. Two-time Academy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Cate Blanchett stars as conservative firebrand Phyliss Schlafly in Mrs. America, beginning Wednesday, April 15 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX and FX NOW. The nine-part miniseries tells the story of the movement to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), and the unexpected backlash it brought about. Blanchett leads a stellar cast portraying some of the most iconic women of the era, including Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids) as Gloria Steinem, Margo Martindale (American Crime Story) as Bella Abzug, Uzo Aduba (Orange is the New Black) as Shirley Chisholm, Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games) as Jill Ruckelshaus, and Tracey Ullman (The Tracey Ullman Show) as Betty Friedan. Additional cast members include Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story) and John Slattery (Avengers: End Game, Mad Men).

Before Mrs. America takes the stage, What We Do in the Shadows returns with more fangs as Season 2 begins with a double-episode premiere event on Wednesday, April 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Created and produced by Jemaine Clement, the series follows the nightly exploits of a crew of vampire roommates living in Staten Island. Kayvan Novak (Four Lions) returns as the self-appointed leader of the group “Nandor The Relentless”, alongside additional cast members Matt Berry (Toast of London) as Laszlo, Natasia Demetriou (Stath Lets Flats) as Nadja, Harvey Guillen (The Internship) as Guillermo, and Mark Proksch (The Office) as Colin Robinson. Over the course of the season, the vampires try to find their way in a world of human Super Bowl parties, internet trolls, and of course, all the ghosts, witches, and zombies who roam freely in the Tri-State area.

Participating carriers for the FX free preview include Rogers, Access Communications, Cogeco, Eastlink, Sasktel, Shaw (starting April 11), Telus, Videotron, and many more (check with your local carrier). Subscribers will have free access to FX’s buzzworthy dramas and comedies including Devs, Better Things, Breeders, and the new original docuseries The Most Dangerous Animal of All.  Along with FX, viewers will also have a chance to preview FXX, home to fan-favourites Dave and Future Man. Weekends will be devoted to catch-up marathons.
