This week some of the summer’s most anticipated new series will premiere, such as NBC and CTV’s Saving Hope. The summer’s popular returning series also premiere, with the return of Hell’s Kitchen and Master Chef.

Hell’s Kitchen – FOX (8pm) – Citytv (9pm) – Premiere – The chefs must make their signature dishes; one contestant is sent home.
9pm – The Amandas – E! Canada – Premiere – Amanda LeBlanc and her team of professional organizers transform a home in Birmingham, Ala.
9pm – Bad Universe – Discovery Science Canada – Premiere – Phil Plait investigates the possibility that an asteroid like the one that wiped out the dinosaurs may strike again.
9pm – Masterchef – CTV – Premiere – 
The hopefuls prepare their signature dishes for the judges.
10pm – The Slap – TVO – Premiere – Hector hosts a barbeque with his wife, Aisha. For the last year he has been having an affair with a seventeen year-old, Connie, who works at Aisha’s clinic. The slap forces him to examine his own behavior, his own weaknesses and his own regret.

9pm – How to Grow a Planet – TVO – Premiere – Professor Iain Stewart journeys from the caves of Vietnam to the remote deserts of Africa.
