This September, Corus Entertainment’s CMT (Canada), home of family-friendly entertainment, welcomes three new original Canadian produced series to the schedule.
CMT PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS:
PICK A PUPPY – SERIES PREMIERE
Premieres: Friday, September 17 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT
Hosted by country music star Beverley Mahood, Pick a Puppy chronicles the story of eight families in search for the ideal canine companion. While on this quest, each family visits various breeders, owners and animal shelters in an attempt to find the perfect fit. As family members grapple with these heart-tugging choices, they soon discover as much about themselves as the breeds they’re researching. This half-hour reality series celebrates the joy in finding the perfect new family member.
ER VETS – SERIES PREMIERE
Premieres: Friday, September 17 at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT
ER Vets tells the story of the best and the brightest in the field of veterinary medicine, from the Veterinary Emergency Clinic (VEC) in Toronto. All eight episodes highlight their most interesting cases while also examining the interpersonal stories of vets who cope with life and death situations on a daily basis – all while managing the deeply emotional responses of pet owners. The half-hour reality series takes viewers through a passionate journey marked by trauma, fear and most often, overwhelming joy.
OUT OF COUNTRY – SERIES PREMIERE
Premieres: Saturday, September 18 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT (r) 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT
In all six half-hour episodes of this documentary series, viewers’ favourite Canadian country music stars take them on a rare, informal and off-the-cuff tourist adventure to countries such as New Zealand and France. Co-produced by CMT, this series features musicians Kathleen Edwards, Doc Walker, Emerson Drive, Colin James, Tara Oram and Kim Stockwood.
