CP24 and CTV Toronto Show Their Pride as Exclusive Broadcast Partners of Pride Toronto 2011

CP24 and CTV Toronto have teamed-up for the third year running as broadcast partners for Pride Week (June 24 July 3) in Toronto. The week culminates with the live broadcast of Pride Toronto 2011, Sunday, July 3 beginning at 2 p.m. on CP24 hosted by CP24 Melissa Grelo and Gurdeep Ahluwalia. Coverage extends online at www.cp24.com/pride2011/, CP24 online destination for coverage of Pride, featuring the latest video, photo galleries, Pride news, and an interactive area where viewers can submit their own Pride story.

CP24 will air an encore presentation of the parade at 8 p.m. on Sunday July 3, 2011 and 12 a.m. Monday July 4, 2011. Click here for complete details of Pride events.

Both CP24 and CTV Toronto kicked-off coverage of Pride Toronto 2011 on Thursday, June 23 from the official Launch party at the Phoenix Concert Theatre. Other coverage highlights will include; the flag raising ceremony at City Hall, the Transgender march, Family Pride, Dyke March and all the news as Toronto celebrates the courage, diversity and love of Toronto’s LGBTTIQQ2SA communities.

Over the past two years viewers have flocked to CP24 live coverage of the Pride parade. CP24 coverage of Pride Toronto 2010 topped Pride 2009 ratings with an impressive unduplicated Total Reach of 1,236,000 total viewers, 48% more than the previous year*.
