Anthony Jeselnik, Jim Jefferies, and Michael Che Host All-New Original Stand-Up Specials on CTV Comedy Channel This March

This March, CTV Comedy Channel is the go-to destination for some of the freshest stand-up comedy on TV with four hours of new exclusive CTV Comedy Original Specials featuring three of comedy’s biggest acts, filmed live at Montréal’s Just For Laughs festival last summer in cooperation with Just for Laughs Television.

Beginning tomorrow, veteran comics Jim Jefferies (THE JIM JEFFERIES SHOW), Anthony Jeselnik (GOOD TALK WITH ANTHONY JESELNIK), and Michael Che (SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE) each take the reigns as host, alongside emerging acts, for CTV Comedy’s eighth year at the prestigious comedy festival.

From Montréal’s majestic Place des Arts theatre, each original special features the buzziest names in the industry as they grace the Just For Laughs stage to accompany each headlining host. From comedy legends and up-and-coming entertainers, to hometown Canadian comics, the line-ups include sets from Bonnie McFarlane, Dave Merheje, Jarrett Campbell, K. Trevor Wilson, Matt O’Brien, and more.

First up, CTV Comedy presents JIM JEFFERIES @ JFL a two-part, two-week special event premiering Tuesday, March 3 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. In each one-hour episode, the politically charged comedian talks fatherhood and even touches on topics to do with Canada.

JIM JEFFERIES @ JFL: VOLUME 1 (premiering Tuesday, March 3 at 10 p.m. ET/PT):

Volume 1 features sets from Jarrett Campbell, ISMO, Erin Foley, Dave Merheje, and Nish Kumar.

JIM JEFFERIES @ JFL: VOLUME 2 (premiering Tuesday, March 10 at 10 p.m. ET/PT):

Volume 2 features sets from Bonnie McFarlane, Tommy Little, Ms. Pat, Rhys Nicholson, Forrest Shaw, and Chris Redd.

Then, acid-tongued superstar, Anthony Jeselnik brings acerbic wit and arrogant charm to his special, ANTHONY JESELNIK @ JFL premiering Tuesday, March 17 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The special features Canadian-born funnymen Nick Beaton and LETTERKENNY’s K. Trevor Wilson, as well as Andrew Schulz, Becky Lucas, The Lucas Brothers, and Ron Funches.

Finally, Emmy® Nominee and Writers Guild of America Award winner Michael Che pulls inspiration from his upbringing and applies his unique brand of street-culture humour to world issues in his special MICHAEL CHE @ JFL premiering Tuesday March 24 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Che’s special also features hilarious performances by Fin Taylor, Jay Pharoah, Jessica Kirson, Matt O’Brien, Phil Hanley, and Sam Jay.

In addition to Just For Laughs original content, CTV Comedy delivers even more premium stand-up specials in March, from acclaimed and seasoned comics:
