As announced during last night’s episode of TOSH.0, The Comedy Network has hired Amanda Brooke Perrin of Calgary, Alberta for the Best Summer Job Ever! The competition was fierce with more than 1,500 applications received and a stellar and hilarious Top 10 short list all vying to be the official voice of @comedynetwork. On Monday, July 4, this social media savvy funny lady checks in to The Comedy Network headquarters for the gig of a lifetime. Check out her “acceptance speech” here.
In less than two weeks, Amanda Brooke Perrin can officially add BEST SUMMER JOB EVER to her already impressive resume. From reception to executive assisting, this University of Calgary Film & Communications student already has some mighty comedy chops to flex. Amanda has trained with The Groundlings and Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles, and was nominated for “Best Newcomer” at the 2010 Canadian Comedy Awards.
As The Comedy Network’s first ever “Comedy Insider” Amanda will be the social media voice of the network for the months of July and August, 2011. On top of getting paid to watch TV and go see some live comedy, the Calgary native has scored a fully furnished apartment in downtown Toronto and the exclusive opportunity to work full-time at the funniest office in the country: The Comedy Network headquarters.
