CTV Comedy Channel Celebrates Mother’s Day with Heartfelt Documentary Special CALL YOUR MOTHER, May 10

CTV Comedy Channel celebrates Mother’s Day by shining the spotlight on the moms of some of the funniest people in the world in an all-new documentary special, CALL YOUR MOTHER, Sunday, May 10 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Directed by Oscar®-nominated filmmakers Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady (Jesus Camp, Freakonomics: The Movie), and with Caroline Hirsch, founder and owner of the iconic New York comedy club Carolines on Broadway and the New York Comedy Festival, as executive producer, the 90-minute special is packed with interviews and anecdotes from A-list comedians, including Emmy® winner Louie Anderson, Golden Globe® winner Awkwafina, Golden Globe nominee David Spade, and Emmy nominee Tig Notaro.

From simple voicemails and inside jokes, heartbreaking losses, and the compromises made supporting a challenging career choice, comedians openly share personal stories and affectionate memories about their moms. Additional comedians featured in the documentary, some alongside their mothers, include British superstar Jimmy Carr; alt-cabaret provocateur Bridget Everett; Rachel Feinstein; Judah Friedlander; father of five, Jim Gaffigan; Judy Gold; Fortune Feimster; Jen Kirkman; Jo Koy; Bobby Lee; identical twin comedians, The Lucas Brothers; Canada’s own Norm Macdonald; Jim Norton; INSECURE’s Yvonne Orji; Kristen Schaal; and THE DAILY SHOW’s Roy Wood Jr.

CTV Comedy tops up the Mother’s Day festivities by getting the fan-favourite FRIENDS gang together for a marathon packed with iconic mom-centric episodes. From Ross (David Schwimmer) kissing Chandler’s (Matthew Perry) mom to Pheobe (Lisa Kudrow) giving birth to triplets, the FRIENDS MOTHER’S DAY MARATHON kicks off at 5 p.m. ET/PT, leading into the premiere of CALL YOUR MOTHER at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
