CTV Channel Group Programming Highlights: Nov. 16-22

MUST-WATCH FOR THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 16

CTV: New thriller series BIG SKY, from visionary storyteller David E. Kelley, premieres Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Private detectives Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury, WHEN THEY SEE US) and Cody Hoyt (Ryan Phillippe, DAMAGES) join forces with Cody’s estranged wife and ex-cop Jenny Hoyt (Katheryn Winnick, VIKINGS), as they search for two sisters who have been kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana. When they discover that these are not the only girls who have disappeared in the area, they race against the clock to stop the killer before another woman is taken. BIG SKY is based on the Cassie Dewell book series by C.J. Box and is filmed in Vancouver.

CTV Comedy Channel’s CORNER GAS ANIMATED continues with an all-new episode on Monday, Nov. 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, featuring cameos by Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole, co-hosts of TSN’s SC WITH JAY AND DAN PRESENTED BY MCDONALD’S. Davis (Lorne Cardinal) tries to get Brent (Brent Butt) to join his rugby team, but Brent’s more focused on inventing a new rugby chant. Meanwhile, Hank (Fred Ewanuick) and Karen (Tara Spencer-Nairn) convince Lacey (Gabrielle Miller) to start selling pizza in the Ruby.

CTV Drama Channel: Season 1 of horror anthology series MONSTERLAND culminates on Friday, Nov. 20 at 10 p.m. ET. “Newark, NJ” focuses on grieving couple Brian (Mike Colter, LUKE CAGE) and Amy (Adepero Oduye, Pariah) who find their relationship is at a crossroads sixteen months after the disappearance of their daughter. While Brian continues to look for their daughter, Amy has lost all hope until a mysterious collection of angel-like creatures fall from the sky.

CTV Life Channel: The Holmes family continue to “Make it Right” for homeowners in an all-new episode of HOLMES NEXT GENERATION on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 9 p.m. ET. After spending seven years transforming their house into a dream home, Tricia and Ryan decide to sell when Ryan’s job relocates to the other end of the city. Expecting to quickly update their kitchen and put their abode on the market, Tricia and Ryan hire a contractor who promises a three-week turnaround; however, 10 months and $12,000 later, there is still no sign of a working kitchen and the house remains unsellable.

CTV Sci-Fi Channel: SUPERNATURAL’s 15th and final season comes to an end on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. ET. In the series finale, Sam (Jared Padalecki, Friday the 13th) and Dean (Jensen Ackles, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) Winchester take viewers on one last ride to save their world. Then, at 10 p.m. ET, viewers can reminisce on the Winchester brothers’ onerous journey with SUPERNATURAL: THE LONG ROAD HOME, a one-hour retrospective special featuring cast and crew interviews.

CTV Movies: The drama miniseries THE RED TENT joins CTV Movies on Thursday, Nov. 19. The sweeping tale takes place during the times of the Old Testament, told through the eyes of Dinah (Rebecca Ferguson), the daughter of Leah (Minnie Driver) and Jacob (Iain Glen). The young woman grows up in the Red Tent, where she shares the traditions and turmoil of ancient womanhood. After Dinah matures and experiences an intense love that subsequently leads to a devastating loss, the fate of her family is forever changed, and she begins a journey to find her place as an independent woman in a word ruled by men.

CTV Digital: Celebrate the holidays with the Holiday Hub, now streaming on CTV.ca and the CTV app, with no subscription or sign-in required. The festive collection currently includes holiday movies such as Hook, The Perfect Holiday, and Eight Crazy Nights, among others; holiday-themed episodes of CTV Throwback series such as BEWITCHED, DAWSON’S CREEK, WHO’S THE BOSS, MAD ABOUT YOU, and COMMUNITY; holiday-themed segments from Bell Media Studios’ THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW and THE SOCIAL; plus recipes, specials, and more, with content added regularly throughout November and December.
