CTV Channel Group Programming Highlights: Oct. 5-11

Below are programming highlights for CTV, CTV Comedy Channel, CTV Drama Channel, CTV Life Channel, and CTV Sci-Fi Channel, as well as CTV Throwback and CTV Movies. The complete suite of CTV-branded entertainment channels are now streaming from one digital platform on CTV.ca and the CTV app.

MUST-WATCH FOR THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 5

CTV: In an all-new episode of JANN airing Monday, Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, Elisha Cuthbert (THE RANCH) guest stars as Liz, an overzealous mother on the Parents Committee at Max (Zoie Palmer, DARK MATTER) and Dave’s (Patrick Gilmore, TRAVELERS) children’s school. Meanwhile, Jann (Jann Arden) and ex-girlfriend Cynthia (Sharon Taylor, BAD BLOOD) are back together and in couple’s counselling. Their therapist has them promise to “be there” for each other at some point during the week. When Jann is asked to be a celebrity guest judge at her sister Max and Dave’s children’s talent show, Jann asks Cynthia to join her at the event. But when Cynthia bails, Jann becomes upset and distracted – threatening to ruin the talent night, and quite possibly her relationship with her sister.

CTV Comedy Channel: Late-night staple THE DAILY SOCIAL DISTANCING SHOW WITH TREVOR NOAH, which has recently featured high-profile guests such as White House coronavirus task force member Dr. Fauci and Dr. Jane Goodall, continues to provide viewers with critical yet comedic coverage of current events, Weeknights at 11:45 p.m. ET/PT.

CTV Drama Channel:
Horror anthology series MONSTERLAND continues with an all-new episode on Friday, Oct. 9 at 10 p.m. ET. Starring Kaitlyn Dever (Booksmart) and Jonathan Tucker (PARENTHOOD), the second episode of the series follows protagonist Toni (Dever), a down-and-out teenaged waitress, trapped in her own life, who begins to question her choices when she meets an elusive stranger named Alex (Tucker).

CTV Life Channel:
From party fouls to busted budgets, strong yet sassy brides will stop at nothing to have the wedding of their dreams on Season 13 of BRIDEZILLAS, premiering Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 9 p.m. ET. In the season debut, bridezilla Stacy is sent into an epic meltdown when her wedding planner fails to cater to her every demand. Meanwhile, Nakosha’s over-the-top bachelorette goes left when her soon-to-be husband finds out about the stripper.

CTV Sci-Fi Channel’s fan-favourite series SUPERNATURAL returns for the second half of its final season on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. ET. In the highly anticipated episode, Sam (Jensen Ackles, DAYS OF OUR LIVES) and Dean (Jared Padalecki, Friday the 13th) discover a wood nymph (Meagen Fay, That’s My Boy) living in the bunker who is determined to protect her family at any cost.

CTV Movies: The adventure horror film Anaconda joins CTV Movies on Thursday, Oct. 8. Filmmaker Terri Flores (Jennifer Lopez) is traveling deep in the Amazon jungle looking for a forgotten tribe. Flores and her crew, which includes an anthropologist (Eric Stoltz, MADAM SECRETARY) and a cameraman (Ice Cube), come across Paul (Jon Voight, RAY DONOVAN), who is stranded on the riverbank. He offers to help them find the tribe, but his secretive behaviour puts everyone on edge. They realize too late that he’s using them to find a legendary anaconda that’s worth a fortune – if they can catch it.
