Six of the world’s greatest monuments are restored to their full splendour in MONUMENTAL CHALLEGE. In the six-part series, the Sydney Harbour Bridge hosts a huge picnic; the Eiffel Tower rebuilds its original hydraulic elevator system; Big Ben examines a threat to its very fabric; and the Taj Mahal races to get ready for the Commonwealth Games. DEEPWATER DISASTER

The Deepwater Horizon oil rig disaster sent millions of gallons of oil spewing into the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. While the world focused on BP, beneath the waves a DEEPWATER DISASTER was taking place. This one-hour special follows the events of the disaster and the efforts to deal with the resulting damage, featuring interviews with investigators, BP, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the engineers and oil men at the heart of the operation. Learn about the engineering challenges and improvisations made including using household junk, discarded steel boxes and giant underwater cutting shears to stop the oil.
