Iconic Discovery personality Jay Ingram is on a quest to digitally map himself in JAY INGRAM: FROM THE INSIDE OUT. Premiering Tuesday, August 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Discovery Science, this unique one-hour special spotlights the latest in medical imaging, tapping into cutting-edge video diagnostic equipment. From a tethered camera that Ingram swallows to get up-close-and-personal with his esophagus, to a functional MRI that offers a unique view of his beating heart in real time…get ready to go inside Ingram!

Until recently, many parts of the human body simply could not be seen – but that’s all changed thanks to advanced medical imaging. JAY INGRAM: FROM THE INSIDE OUT features the most modern medical technology available to humans including ultra-sound, and colour ultra-sound, along with a state-of-the-art laser system that probes the sub-surface of the skin. A keen lover of music, Ingram also gets to see how his brain reacts to rhythms and beats, via an extremely powerful 7-Tesla MRI machine that can actually track brain cell activity. As with every medical test, there are predictable-and-unpredictable results, and even Ingram experiences a couple of surprises looking at his body…from the inside out.
JAY INGRAM: FROM THE INSIDE OUT is executive produced by Heather Williamson for Discovery Science.
