CAPRICA Returns Oct. 5, Exclusively on SPACE

SPACE won’t leave genre fans hangin’ this fall as it delivers all-new episodes of CAPRICA sooner than expected. Originally pegged to premiere this winter, the remaining nine Season 1 episodes now kick-off Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, exclusively on SPACE. From the producers of the groundbreaking sci-fi drama BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (BSG), CAPRICA follows two rival families before the Cylons blasted civilization into all-out war. Viewers who want more CAPRICA can stick around at 11 p.m. ET/PT when INNERSPACE delves deep into the characters and story arcs featured in each episode.

When it premiered in January 2010, CAPRICA ranked as the #1 series on SPACE, averaging more than 200,000 total viewers during its nine episode run. The mid-season finale (March 26) delivered a series-high 272,000 viewers, making it the #1 non-sports specialty program that night in its time slot.*

Here’s what some critics had to say about the first half of Season 1:

“This is definitely not BATTLESTAR GALACTICA anymore. It’s something else. And you’ll be sorry if you don’t tune in to find out more.”
Annalee Newitz, i09

“…so crammed full of intriguing, provocative concepts it makes BATTLESTAR (GALACTICA) look like LOST IN SPACE.”
Rob Salem, Toronto Star

The second half of CAPRICA Season 1 transports audiences from stunningly vivid, twisted virtual realities to the fascinating outer worlds of the 12 Colonies. Along the way, revolutionary tensions rise, family power shifts, and the characters grapple with the physical and emotional consequences of their questionable decisions. As the season races towards its stunning conclusion, each episode lays the groundwork for a brutal clash between the new Cylon race and its human creators.

In the season premiere, “Unvanquished,” (Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 10 p.m. ET/PT), Daniel Graystone must put his life back together in the wake of Zoe’s escape and Sister Clarice travels to Gemenon to make a dangerous power play that will forever change the future of Caprica.

CAPRICA stars Eric Stoltz, Paula Malcomson, Esai Morales, Polly Walker, Alessandra Torresani, Magda Apanowicz and Sasha Roiz.
