Space Takes on May with Apocalyptic Specials and Larger-Than-Life Season Finales

This month on Space:

  • Season 7B of DOCTOR WHO comes to an epic conclusion Saturday, May 18 at 8 p.m. ET, and viewers can relive Season 7 from start to finish beginning at 8 a.m. ET onMay 18 during the DOCTOR WHO CATCH-UP MARATHON.
  • Prepare for the aftermath of the zombie apocalypse Saturday, May 18 at 10 p.m. ET with the premiere of new three-part series IN THE FLESH.
  • Who will save humanity? The heart-stopping season finale of UTOPIA airs Thursday, May 30 at 10 p.m. ET, followed by INNERSPACE: UTOPIA AFTERSHOW at 11:15 p.m. ET.
  • A zombie-slaying president? Must be Saturday night movies on Space! Catch the premiere of films ABRAHAM LINCOLN VS. ZOMBIES (Saturday, May 4 at 10 p.m. ET),HANSEL & GRETEL (Saturday, May 11 at 10 p.m. ET), and 100 DEGREES BELOW ZERO (Saturday, May 25 at 11:15 p.m. ET).

10 p.m. – ABRAHAM LINCOLN VS. ZOMBIES (2012) *Movie Premiere*

While the Civil War rages on, President Abraham Lincoln (Bill Oberst Jr., The Secret Life of Bees) must undertake an even more daunting task: destroying the Confederate Undead. Also stars Kent Igleheart (IDLE TIMES) and Jason Vail (Gut).

Saturday, May 11

10 p.m. – HANSEL & GRETEL (2013) *Movie Premiere*

In this modern retelling of the classic horror tale, teen siblings Hansel (Brent Lydic, Wasted) and Gretel (Stephanie Greco, The Haunting of Whaley House) are enslaved by a psychotic recluse inside her gruesome house of horrors in the woods. Also stars Dee Wallace (WAREHOUSE 13).

Saturday May 18

8 p.m. DOCTOR WHO – “The Name of the Doctor” *Season Finale*

10 p.m. – IN THE FLESH *Part 1*

Four years after the Rising, the government starts to rehabilitate the undead so they can be reintegrated back into society. Among the recovered undead is teenager Kieren Walker (Luke Newberry, LIGHTFIELDS), who returns home to the small Lancashire village to face a hostile reception, as well as his own demons.

Saturday, May 25

10 p.m. – IN THE FLESH *Part 2*

Kieren escapes to his grave, where he is reunited with his old hunting partner Amy Dyer (Emily Bevan, THE THICK OF IT). He also discovers that his former best friend Rick (David Walmsley, DOCTORS) is back in town. Kieren finds himself on a hunting mission in the woods, where the night patrol has reported live rabid zombies are roaming free.

11:15 p.m. – 100 DEGRESS BELOW ZERO (2013) *Movie Premiere*

After a freak climate and weather event destroys the world around them, a group of rogue scientists attempt to reverse the deadly new ice age. Stars John Rhys-Davies (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade).

Thursday May 30

10 p.m. UTOPIA *Season 1 Finale*

Michael (Paul Higgins, LINE OF DUTY) discovers that the vaccine containing Janus is ready to be shipped throughout England. Meanwhile, Becky (Alexandra Roach, Anna Karenina) and Wilson (Adeel Akhtar, The Dictator) both face tough choices, and Michael learns that someone close to him isn’t what they seem.

11:15 p.m. INNERSPACE: UTOPIA AFTERSHOW *Season Finale*

INNERSPACE hosts Ajay Fry and Teddy Wilson chat about the mind-blowing season finale of UTOPIA, and come up with their own conspiracy theories about the series.
