The beloved band of DC Super Hero outcasts are back in action as DOOM PATROL returns to CTV Sci-Fi Channel, Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET, beginning June 25. As the nine-episode second season kicks off, the Doom Patrol gang find themselves in the aftermath of betrayal by one of their own while continuing their battle to save a world that wants little to do with them. Season 2 launches with a special two-episode premiere on June 25 with back-to-back episodes rolling out at 9 p.m. ET.
CTV Sci-Fi’s most-watched new series of the 2018/19 broadcast year among Adults 25-54, Season 2 of DOOM PATROL continues to follow the oddball gang of Super Heroes – Cliff Steele a.k.a Robotman (Brendan Fraser, The Mummy franchise), Larry Trainor a.k.a. Negative Man (Matt Bomer, WHITE COLLAR), Rita Farr a.k.a. Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby, DROP DEAD DIVA), Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero, ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK), and Victor Stone a.k.a. Cyborg (Joivan Wade, The First Purge). The gang now finds themselves mini-sized and having to deal with the betrayal of Niles Caulder a.k.a. The Chief (Timothy Dalton, PENNY DREADFUL), the man who brought them all together. As each member works to overcome their traumatic pasts, they must also band together to protect the newest member of their family, Dorothy Spinner (newcomer Abigail Shapiro), Niles’ daughter and whose powers remain a mysterious but real threat to bringing about the end of the world.
The Season 2 premiere, “Fun Size Patrol” (Thursday, June 25 at 9 p.m. ET), picks up weeks after the events of last season, with Niles, Jane, Cliff, Rita, Vic, and Dorothy still trapped in miniature-size. Camped out in Cliff’s toy race-track set up, Dorothy tries to befriend both Cliff and Jane, while Larry does his best to figure out a way to restore everyone to their normal size. Meanwhile, Rita asks Vic for help in using her elastic abilities for good, while Jane hides out in the Underground and Niles tries everything to earn forgiveness for his past misdeeds.
Then, at 10 p.m. ET, in the episode “Tyme Patrol,” Cliff, Jane, and Rita pursue Dr. Tyme (Brandon Perea, THE OA) – and his time-altering space mineral – in their reluctant quest to help Niles and Dorothy.
For fans looking to catch up on the misfit adventures, Season 1 of DOOM PATROL is available now on Crave. New episodes are available Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on Crave, beginning June 25.
