Thrust To the Top of the Car Tuning Game, the Car Aficionados From West Coast Customs Are Back With Season 2 of STREET CUSTOMS, May 10 on Discovery HD

Tackling some of the most extraordinary car designs ever built, STREET CUSTOMS highlights the talents of car-customizing star Ryan Friedlinghaus and his unorthodox approach to managing his West Coast Customs family of artisans and technicians.

Premiering Monday, May 10 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, Season 2 of STREET CUSTOMS showcases West Coast Customs’ original designs and the process behind the builds they’ve become famous for. This 16-part series chronicles the boundary-busting cars that epitomize the street edge, passion and craftsmanship that West Coast Customs represents – and owner Ryan Friedlinghaus demands. Each build ranges in scope from customizing modern styled street rods to chopping up $100,000 luxury vehicles.

West Coast Customs houses craftsmen skilled in all aspects of car building under one roof, allowing viewers to explore the drama of each build from conception to execution. Shot in dramatic High Definition, the striking STREET CUSTOMS creations have an impressive client list to match: Sylvester Stallone, Jesse James and owner of Ed Hardy clothing, Christian Audigier all stop by in Season 2.

Highlights from STREET CUSTOMS 2 include:

STREET CUSTOMS 2 – “Monster Bentley”
Monday, May 10 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT
Friedlinghaus and the West Coast Customs crew are hired by Noel Lee, the CEO of Monster Cables, to customize his Bentley. Lee wants a special lift designed to get his Segway into the trunk – but although the team pulls off a unique paint and upholstery job on the car, they struggle with fitting the lift.

STREET CUSTOMS 2 – “Ultimate Taco Truck”
Monday, May 17 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT
Chronic Tacos, a Southern California restaurant chain, needs a promotional vehicle for the grand opening of a new store. With the deadline only nine days away, a WCC employee goes MIA and Friedlinghaus is forced to make a change in personnel.

STREET CUSTOMS 2 – “Challenger Convertible”
Monday, May 24 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT
Friedlinghaus and his West Coast crew turn a brand new 2009 Dodge Challenger into a convertible for a client in Las Vegas. Later, Friedlinghaus heads to Germany to check in on his new WCC shop in Berlin but while he’s away a key employee quits, blaming Rory’s incompetence.
