For homebound viewers longing for adventures abroad, Discovery’s spring schedule sets sail with the premiere of all-new documentary BACK TO THE TITANIC (April 12), and the return of fan-favourite factual series, DEADLIEST CATCH (April 21).
For the first time in nearly 15 years, a team dives down to the RMS Titanic to examine the condition of the wreck and pay homage to those who perished in a one-hour documentary BACK TO THE TITANIC on Sunday, April 12 at 8 p.m. ET.

Then, long-running hit series DEADLIEST CATCH returns for Season 16 on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, beginning April 21 with a two-hour premiere. The iconic Discovery series follows crab fishermen off the Alaska coast as they battle Arctic weather, brutal waves, and a ticking clock for a chance at big money in this modern-day gold rush. Ahead of this much-anticipated premiere, viewers can watch three recap specials airing Tuesday, April 14. Beginning at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT the first special recounts fisherman Casey McManus’ biggest catches and harrowing journeys. Then, at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT, DEADLIEST CATCH commemorates the 10th anniversary of beloved Captain Phil Harris’ passing, followed by a two-hour Season 15 recap special at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

In BACK TO THE TITANIC, five dives were made over eight days at the mighty ship’s resting place, 595 km south of Newfoundland, using high-tech equipment to capture the first-ever 4K images of the RMS Titanic that can be used to create 3D models for future augmented and virtual reality. The one-hour special presentation, produced by Emmy award-winning Atlantic Productions, features the great-great-grandson of Mr. Benjamin Guggenheim, an American businessman who occupied a room on the ship, as a member of the renowned Caladan Oceanic’s deep-ocean exploration team, led by explorer Victor Vescovo.
This season, for the first time ever on DEADLIEST CATCH, the Alaskan crab fleet faces off against their biggest rival – the Russians. A competition so fierce, the captains must push into uncharted territory, including one veteran actually going to Russia. Season 16 brings new fishing alliances, former CATCH captains returning to the fleet, and a worldwide, headline-grabbing winter storm that pounds their crab boats.
Season 15 of smash hit DEADLIEST CATCH reached more than 3.3 million Canadians, helping make Discovery the most-watched entertainment specialty channel in its timeslot. DEADLIEST CATCH was a Top 10 program for Discovery among A25-54 during the 2018/19 broadcast year.
