With only seconds to make a life-saving decision, would you know what to do if the brakes failed in your car? Or the skyscraper elevator you were riding in suddenly went into freefall? Based on the bestselling books and hosted by survival expert and star of MAN VS. WILD, Bear Grylls, WORST CASE SCENARIO shows how the right knowledge and skills can help anyone succeed in urban survival situations that could arise without warning – from escaping a high-rise apartment fire to getting out of a sinking car. After three years with the elite Special Air Service in the British Army, Grylls is universally renowned for his exceptional survival skills in the most extreme environments – from shedding his clothes and using an ice block to cross Arctic waters to drinking his own urine in Northern Africa. But how do his skills measure up in the “urban jungle”? See for yourself when Discovery Channel presents back-to-back half-hour episodes of WORST CASE SCENARIO on Wednesdays at 9 and 9:30 p.m. ET/11 and 11:30 p.m. PT beginning Sept. 1.
Filmed like a feature film, Grylls pushes his physical boundaries – part stuntman, part urban survivalist – to show viewers how to survive sudden emergency situations. Other dire conditions featured throughout the 12-part series include escaping from a frozen lake and the “right way” to fall down a flight of stairs.
