Discovery Channel’s MIGHTY SHIPS returns with six all-new episodes offering unprecedented access to today’s most extraordinary vessels. Premiering Sunday, July 22 at 8 p.m. ET/ PT, Season 6 kicks off with a special two-hour premiere featuring the world’s most luxurious cruise ship – the fantastic Crystal Serenity – immediately followed by an action-packed voyage aboard battle-bound USS New York, the first time the massive amphibious transport has performed all her functions.

She features contemporary suites, dining by the likes of Nobu, even penthouse suites with a full-service butler. This cruise will take MIGHTY SHIPS into ports viewers have never seen before, including: the famous sites of Sydney harbour, the port of Melbourne, beautiful Bali and a large-scale furniture load in Semarang, Indonesia. MIGHTY SHIPS: “USS New York”

USS New York is a tribute to those who perished on September 11, 2011. With 7.5 tons of steel salvaged from the wreckage of the Twin Towers forming her bow stem, MIGHTY SHIPS follow USS New York as her 363-strong Navy crew welcomes some 600 Marines aboard for deployment exercises. Off the coast of Virginia and North Carolina, troops from the two forces must rehearse the launch of air and sea attacks with the utmost speed and precision: Marines scrambling onto helicopters moments before take-off; troop-filled transports rumble onto hovercrafts that peel out of the ship’s dock; and amphibious tanks dropping out the back of the ship and swimming ashore. It will be action-packed – and the last chance her crew has before being deployed for active service.
Programming note: MIGHTY SHIPS continues Sunday, July 29 with two all-new episodes beginning at 8pm ET/PT and completes its run on Monday, August 13th and Monday, August 20th at 7pm ET.

My tv guide doesn't show that mighty ships will be on july 22nd its river monsters! could tv guide be wrong because I told everyone that it will be on!
According to the advanced listings I’m receiving from Discovery Channel, the schedule seems to fit the information in the article. I’ve also checked zap2it.com’s tv listings and they have the same schedule as I have so your tv guide must be wrong!

AS of right now there ain't a listing for the US, Only Canada has it atm…..I wanted to see it as well I was on the ship when they did this! lol
