Disney XD Kick-Starts Summer with New Series Kickin’ It Plus Returning Hits Pair of Kings and Zeke and Luther

Disney XD delivers a knock-out night of comedic action on Saturday, July 2 with the premiere of the brand new martial arts-themed sitcom Kickin’ It at 7:30 p.m. ET. Adding to the hilarious summer schedule are two season premieres on Disney XD: Zeke and Luther makes its third season debut Saturday, July 2 at 6:30 p.m. ET and the majestic hit Pair of Kings returns for season two with back-to-back episodes on Saturday, July 9 at 6:30 p.m. ET.

The new Disney XD Original Series Kickin’ It follows hotshot skateboarder Jack who joins the underperforming Bobby Wasabi Martial Arts Academy and teaches a crew of awkward and uncoordinated students about life, karate and how to just plain kick it. The series premieres on Disney XD on Saturday, July 2 at 7:30 p.m. ET. In the premiere episode “Fat Chance,” the gang discovers their school janitor is a former sumo wrestler and they arrange a comeback match so he can prove he’s still got what it takes.

The series stars Jason Earles (Hannah Montana) as Rudy, accomplished martial artist Leo Howard (Leo Little’s Big Show) as Jack, Mateo Arias (Cold Case) as Jerry, Dylan Riley Snyder (Disney’s Broadway Musical Tarzan) as Milton, Alex Christian Jones as Eddie and Olivia Holt (Black & Blue) as Kim. Kickin’ It was created by Jim O’Doherty (Grounded for Life). He, along with Marc Warren (JONAS L.A., Cory in the House) serves as executive producer. Joey Scott (Growing Pains) is the producer.

Ahead of Kickin’ It on July 2, viewers will find the turbocharged third season premiere of the hit buddy comedy series Zeke and Luther airing at 6:30 p.m. ET. Skateboarding best friends Zeke and Luther turn pro and embark on the ride of their lives. In the premiere episode the boys are thrilled to help their daredevil idol, Bobby Dicey, prepare for the stunt of a lifetime. But after Bobby is injured, Zeke and Luther are left with more responsibility than they expected.

Also making its debut this July is the second season of Pair of Kings on Saturday, July 9 at 6:30 p.m. ET. In the two-part premiere titled “Kings of Legend,” Boomer and Brady accidentally bring an ancient evil statue to life while trying to prove that they are the infamous Kings of Legend. With the Island of Kinkow in danger, the twins concede the throne to Lanny and depart on a balloon voyage back to Chicago.

Earlier in the day beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET, in a lineup that’s truly fit for a king, Disney XD rolls out an eight-episode mini-marathon featuring episodes from season one so that viewers can catch up with the royal raucous ahead of the premiere.

Viewers can catch these new episodes on Disney XD OnDemand later in the month. In the meantime, Disney XD.ca is the ultimate destination for new games, show pages and behind the scenes videos.
