Make Family Channel and Disney XD Your March Break Vacation Destinations

Put the books away and take off to this month’s ultimate vacation destinations, Family Channel and Disney XD. Special programming lineups are taking offMonday, March 11 through Saturday, March 16, and this year’s March Break itinerary is overflowing with fun and excitement. Complete with new specials, crossover episodes, amazing guest stars, incredible prize giveaways and marathon madness, Family Channel and Disney XD have got your March Break vacation plans covered.

Family gets a jumpstart on the festivities Friday, March 8 with The Duncans, debuting a special secret-themed Good Luck Charlie marathon beginning at 2 p.m. ET/PT leading up to the one-hour season three finale. In the special finale extended episode at 6:10 p.m. ET/PT, Bob accidentally lets termites loose in the house and tries to keep it a secret from Amy, while she stretches the truth in her new blog. Then, in the premiere of Family Channel’s newest series The Next Step, the dance studio holds auditions for A-Troupe, looking for the 10 best dancers to take them to regionals. Debuting at 7 p.m. ET/PT, The Next Step is a reality-style drama series that follows the lives of an elite group of dancers striving to make it in the competitive world of dance.

With a special March Break schedule throughout the week and brand new episodes of hit series premiering, Family delivers a star-studded, electrifying lineup with something for everyone. Fans can look forward to:

  • A new episode of Dog With A Blog on Tuesday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT where Stan refuses to talk.
  • The beginning of an Austin & Ally story arc where the duo finally realize their true feelings for one another in two back-to-back episodes on Wednesday, March 13 at 6 p.m. ET/PT.
  • Carly Rae Jepsen of “Call Me Maybe” fame, American model Tyra Banks and Alfonso Ribiero (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) guest star on a new episode of Shake It Up where Rocky tries to convince CeCe that she’s fine not being back on Shake It Up Chicago.
  • A one-hour special episode of Jessie on Friday, March 15 at 6:15 p.m. ET/PT where Jessie gets her big break as a stunt double to popular Australian actress Shaylee Michaels (Maia Mitchell, upcoming Teen Beach Movie) but chaos ensues when Shaylee’s boyfriend asks Jessie out on a date.

On Saturday, March 16, Family is ending March Break by going to infinity and beyond with the network premiere of Toy Story at 6 p.m. ET/PT. Set in a world where toys come to life, Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks, The Polar Express), a pull-string cowboy, and Buzz Lightyear (voiced by Tim Allen, Home Improvement) a space action figure, must learn to set aside their differences when they are separated from their owner Andy.

If you are looking for adventure, cruise on over to Disney XD for some sidesplitting antics and extreme amounts of fun. Beginning at 2 p.m. ET daily from March 11-15, Phineas and Ferb steal the screen, with four hilarious back-to-back episodes. At 4 p.m. ET, Disney XD makes way for March Break Marathon Madness featuring six hours of action-packed marathons daily from the network’s top series including Crash & BernsteinKickin’ It Gravity FallsLab Rats and more Phineas and Ferb.

On Saturday, March 16, Disney XD’s got new episodes of Crash & Bernstein and Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja. At 7 p.m. ET, Crash feels insecure about his height when he gets turned away from a roller coaster ride and goes to extreme measures to make himself taller. Immediately following at 7:30 p.m. ET, Randy must learn a valuable new lesson about respect and humility after accidently breaking his ninja sword.

The vacation continues online at Family.ca and DisneyXD.ca. Family delivers new games and videos, plus The Next Step Dance Mashup activity and a supersite for The Wizards Return.  Meanwhile Disney XD wants viewers to kick off spring in style with the “March Break Marathon Watch and Win Contest.” From March 1-18, viewers can fill out online ballots to win a Disney XD prize pack including a BMX Bike and a custom DXD Skateboard. Each day from March 11-15, fans can catch the daily bonus code word during marathons of their favourite shows for even more chances to win.
