Monday night’s eagerly anticipated season finale of Top Chef Canada delivered record-breaking audience numbers for Food Network Canada, achieving an unprecedented 410,000 (2+), making it the highest rated episode ever in the network’s history. Further reinforcing Food Network Canada’s solid track record for delivering the best in entertaining, food-related content, Monday’s finale beat out all specialty competition and drew in the highest audience for its time period as well as the entire day in key demographics. Canadians were no doubt on the edges of their seats waiting to find out that Vancouver’s Chef Dale MacKay of recently opened ensemble restaurant has been crowned Canada’s Top Chef.
Top Chef Canada is no stranger to its triumphant season finale audience levels. The first season of the Canadian adaptation of the international smash hit premiered to unprecedented audience numbers for a single play with 381,700 (2+) and 257,100 (A25-54), making it the network’s highest-rated premiere this broadcast year in both the same demographics. Top Chef Canada is currently rated the number one series in Food Network’s history.
