Fixed-Up Farmhouses, Budget-Friendly DIYS and All-Star Challenges Flourish on HGTV Canada This Spring

HGTV Canada gives viewers a fresh bouquet of new and returning series this spring showcasing striking farmhouse transformations, smart spends, and stunning historic makeovers. Corus Studios Original series Farmhouse Facelift kicks off the season with city dwellers who have opted to purchase farmhouses in charming small towns that are in need of a major overhaul. Then spring sees the return of one of the network’s Top 5 Canadian Original series* $ave My Reno for a fourth season, assisting owners with cost saving renovation tips and tricks on must-do projects. Top-rated series Rock the Block returns with an all-star cast and a major renovation challenge – overhauling four identical three-story suburban properties in just one month. Popular sister-brother duo Leanne and Steve Ford make their debut in Home Again with the Fords.

HGTV Canada takes viewers to the countryside on Wednesday, March 3 at 10 p.m. ET/PT with Farmhouse Facelift (10×60). The fresh series follows siblings Billy Pearson and Carolyn Wilbrink, a professional renovation team who grew up on their family farm, learning firsthand how to restore and reclaim the charm of heritage homes. Viewers will witness how Carolyn and Billy tackle the toughest farmhouse renovations with their stunning designs and custom craftsmanship. Breathing new life into these spaces, they give each project a new start for the next generation of homeowners and transform them into spectacular vintage properties. In the premiere episode, homeowners John and Kristine need help renovating a tired farmhouse that has been in the family for four generations. It’s filled with family history and memories; however, it needs major updating to transform it into their dream house. The house is practically falling apart – as the layout is poor with multiple doors and entrances into the house, the exterior wood is rotting and stucco is peeling. Billy and Carolyn are challenged to give this outdated home a stunning and modern transformation while still preserving the family history.

Later in the month, $ave My Reno returns for a fourth season on Tuesday, March 16 at 9 and 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. Sebastian, the savvy builder with contagious energy, and Samantha, the celebrated ‘luxe-on-a-budget’ designer, return to make cash-conscious homeowners’ domestic dreams into reality, as they transform houses into showpiece homes – all on a budget. Kicking off the season, homeowners Rose and Mike dream of hosting large family dinners in a breezy, island inspired space, but right now it feels more like a tropical storm. Sebastian and Samantha create a configuration that will accommodate future gatherings, giving their new kitchen a warm and beachy feel. Season 4 is supported by series sponsors Behr, VELUX Skylights, Dominion Lending Centres, Lowes, Rockwool, and belairdirect.

On Monday, March 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, Rock the Block returns for a second season with a 90-minute premiere episode that features a bigger challenge – transforming four identical three-story suburban properties in just one month. Hosted by highly skilled carpenter and designer, Ty Pennington, this season, has double the star power with eight of the networks brightest home renovation and design experts pairing up. This season’s Rock the Block partner teams are: Canadian home renovator and contractor Mike Holmes ( Holmes On Homes) and Chicago’s fearless home renovation and design expert Alison Victoria ( Windy City Rehab); designing dads Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent ( Nate and Jeremiah: Save My House); Design Star winners David Bromstad ( My Lottery Dream Home) and Tiffany Brooks ( 50K Three Ways), along with Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt ( 100 Day Dream Home). With a $225,000 budget and a whole lot of teamwork, the dueling duos hope to win major bragging rights and their names on a street sign.

The transformations don’t stop there, on Thursday, February 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, brother and sister duo Leanne and Steve Ford debut their new series Home Again with the Fords. The dynamic duo helps people move back to where they grew up. These houses have a lot of love and history in their walls, and Steve and Leanne’s challenge is to respect their past while updating the homes for the new generation
