It’s NOTHING PERSONAL, Just Business, as New Original Series Premieres July 13 on Investigation Discovery

Enter the world of the hired killer as Steve Schirippa, co-star of THE SOPRANOS, recounts the shocking true stories of cold-blooded contract killings in NOTHING PERSONAL. Premiering Wednesday, July 13 at 9 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT on Investigation Discovery, the six-part, original Canadian series takes a thrilling and ominous journey to the dark side. Whether it’s underworld infidelities, love betrayals or broken friendships, it’s nothing personal for the contract killers – just good business.

Each episode of NOTHING PERSONAL tells the tale of a real-life professional “hit,” involving three key characters: the Client, the Victim and the Hit Man. Schirripa gives an in-depth picture of real-life gangland and professional criminals. Viewers get to know the people who paid the contract killers, see how the hit men complete their assignments and find out why murder contracts were assigned against the victims. From teenaged hit men and power-hungry sons to jealous husbands and vengeful wives, nothing is too personal for a contract killing.

Highlights from the first episodes of NOTHING PERSONAL include:

NOTHING PERSONAL – “Popping Champagne”
Wednesday, July 13 at 9 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT
With a penchant for expensive bubbly, Larry “Champagne” Carrozza is a flashy young gangster who, after years of service to the Colombo crime family, thinks it’s high time he became more than just an associate. Eager to prove his loyalty, Larry joins notorious hit man “Big Sal” Miciotta for a routine mafia errand in Brooklyn. But the ambitious 30-year-old quickly finds out that the family doesn’t consider him an asset but a liability. In an exclusive interview with “Big Sal,” the 1983 story of adultery, drugs, and a crooked gasoline scheme, plus why Larry “Champagne” Carrozza got popped, is told for the first time.

NOTHING PERSONAL – “Green Widow”
Wednesday, July 20 at 9 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT
As beautiful as she is ruthless, Mary Ellen Samuels is a self-proclaimed nasty vixen who likes to get her own way. Although she dreamed of making it in Hollywood, the single mom eventually heads back to her home town and marries Bob Samuels – a former geek from her high school who has since made it big working on Hollywood production crews. Bob is a dedicated family man who tries to make the relationship work, but the provocative Mary Ellen has other priorities. This 1988 case involves a drug-addled femme fatale who first had her husband killed, and then when her hit man got out of line, hired someone else to whack him too.

NOTHING PERSONAL – “Roadside Betrayal”
Wednesday, July 27 at 9 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT
After being caught stealing and using drugs on the job, Donna Moonda is a disgraced Pennsylvania nurse whose marriage to an older and respected urologist, Gulam, is on the rocks. Depressed, unemployed and emotionally adrift, Donna develops a new obsession for a handsome 23-year-old cocaine dealer named Damian Bradford from her court-ordered rehab meetings. Tracing a tale of adultery, greed, deception and murder for hire, this 2005 story explains how a loving wife became a monster, and how, on the shoulder of an Ohio turnpike, Donna Moonda ended her marriage with a bang.

NOTHING PERSONAL is a Cineflix (NP) Inc. production, produced in association with Investigation Discovery and Canal D.
