Ed Sheeran to Co-Host the 2015 MUCH MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS

Announcement was made moments ago during THE ROAST OF JUSTIN BIEBER on The Comedy Network

Shhh – #saveyourscreams! Ed Sheeran, and his good friend Justin “Beaver”, revealed moments ago in an exclusive on-air message broadcast during THE ROAST OF JUSTIN BEIBER on The Comedy Network, that the six-time GRAMMY® Award nominee is set to co-host the 2015 MUCH MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS. A veteran MMVA performer, and now at the helm of the biggest street-level award show in the world, Sheeran returns to the MMVA stage for his fourth consecutive appearance. The 2015 MUCH MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS airs live on Sunday, June 21 on Much. Follow the conversation online at #MMVA.

“Canada, can’t wait to come back for my fourth MMVAs,” said Ed Sheeran. “I’m thrilled they asked me to host this year. I hope this isn’t an early April Fool’s joke.”

Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter, beatboxer, and guitarist Ed Sheeran’s eclectic blend of acoustic pop, folk, and hip-hop has catapulted him to the top of the charts. The multi-platinum selling artist has sold-out back-to-back headlining tours, which included a trio of shows at New York’s legendary Madison Square Garden. In 2012, Sheeran toured North America as the opening act for Taylor Swift’s The Red Tour, before releasing his second studio album entitled X (pronounced “multiply”), which has reached #1 on album charts across the globe, including in Canada, the U.S., and the U.K. Nominated for six GRAMMY awards, Sheeran recently won British Album of the Year and British Male Solo Artist at the 2015 BRIT AWARDS, and was named 2014’s biggest-selling global male solo artist by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), outselling Sam Smith, Beyoncé, Coldplay, and many more.
