MUCH VJ Hopefuls Gear Up For Fierce Competition as the FRUCTIS FRUIT SENSATION PRESENTS: MUCH VJ SEARCH Announces its Top 10 Finalists

The competition is getting fierce as the FRUCTIS FRUIT SENSATION PRESENTS: MUCH VJ SEARCH announced its Top 10 VJ hopeful finalists earlier today on Much. After a two-week, drama-filled, bus tour, 12 VJ hopefuls rolled into Much’s Toronto HQ today onto a live edition of the MUCH VJ SEARCH, where two more eliminations were immediately announced, revealing to the nation the Top 10 finalists! For Top 10 profiles, updates, and exclusive on-line content visit muchmusic.com/vjsearch.Amongst tears and shrieks, the VJ hopefuls were in for another shock as it was revealed that for the remainder of the competition, they will be camping out in the iconic Much’s 299 Queen West HQ! Starting today, the Top 10 will eat, sleep, shower, and compete in the appropriately named ‘Camp Much,’ as the final, high-octane round of the MUCH VJ SEARCH goes full throttle. The FRUCTIS FRUIT SENSATION PRESENTS: MUCH VJ SEARCH now goes live-to-air, every day at 6 p.m. ET, followed by the MUCH VJ SEARCH POST SHOW at 6:30 p.m. ET. The Top 10 start their challenges tonight by testing their skills with appearances on Much’s original live programs including the MUCHMUSIC COUNTDOWN, TODAY’S TOP 10. Moving forward, they will continue to make various live appearances throughout the day on Much.

In tomorrow’s episode of the MUCH VJ SEARCH (Friday, April 12 at 6 p.m. ET),Much VJs and mentors Damian AbrahamPhoebe Dykstra, Tyrone “T-RexXx” EdwardsLiz Trinnear, and Scott Willats pick their favourite two competitors to take under their wing and guide them through to VJ glory. Starting Monday, April 15, and throughout the remainder of the competition, viewers can vote for their faves, and ultimately, the winner of the MUCH VJ SEARCH to be announced on April 26.

THE FRUCTIS FRUIT SENSATION PRESENTS: MUCH VJ SEARCH gives everyone a shot at the coolest job ever – to be a Much VJ. No experience is required; the only criteria needed are a passion for music and pop culture, a kick @ss personality, a flair for television, and the gift of gab. The successful competitor gets to interview the top bands in the music biz, meet hardcore fans, travel across the country, and work out of the legendary Much HQ at 299 Queen St. West in Toronto.

The MUCH VJ SEARCH has cemented itself as an iconic part of the Canadian media landscape. Each time around, the MUCH VJ SEARCH grows and changes its tune slightly, making the VJ hopefuls compete in a series of challenges to earn their spot as Much’s newest face. Back in 2006, the VJ Search was broadcast as a 10-episode reality competition, where hopefuls were eliminated by a panel of celebrity judges based on how well they performed at various TV hosting challenges.
