Millions of MuchMusic fans can’t be wrong. The iconic music and pop culture brand reached an incredible milestone last month, officially surpassing more than two million followers on TikTok. Lead by a team of VJs who cut through a cacophony of pop culture takes, the creator-driven MuchMusic stands among entertainment behemoths as a go-to with the coveted Gen Z and younger millennial demo, even blowing by some of the most renowned entertainment heavyweights like Buzzfeed, Rolling Stone, Vogue, and Complex Music on the platform.
Since teaming up with TikTok in July 2021, a place for discovering groundbreaking music content and rediscovering old favourites, MuchMusic has leveraged the platform’s global reach, re-emerging to great success. Extending across multiple digital, content, and social media networks, MuchMusic and the new generation of VJ’s have put their own spin on the brand’s singular legacy of curating and delivering content targeted to youth audiences in Canada and around the world. In addition to securing more than two million followers on TikTok, @much has received more than 95 million likes and more than one billion views of the #MuchLove hashtag on the platform.
