The original production features an all-star cast, notably including Vincent Leclerc, Pascale Bussières, Sophie Lorain, Émile Proulx-Cloutier, Valérie Blais, Bruno Marcil, Danielle Proulx, Émile Schneider, and Sandra Dumaresq. SORTEZ-MOI DE MOI is based on an original idea by Sophie Lorain and Alexis Durand-Brault. Durand-Brault also directs the series.
The drama takes viewers inside the world of mental health care, with Dr. Justine Mathieu (Bussières) following patients brought to her by emergency care front-line responders Clara St-Amand (Lorain), Myriam Melançon (Dumaresq), and Gabriel Beauregard (Marcil). Despite her misgivings, Dr. Mathieu is attracted to a new patient, David Ducharme (Leclerc), who is struggling with a bipolar episode. Their secret relationship grows more and more compromising. Meanwhile, Clara and Gabriel handle difficult cases in the field while facing their own family problems.
