The Movie Network GO, HBO GO Canada and TMN Encore GO Now Available to Eastlink Customers

Astral’s The Movie Network today announced that The Movie Network GO (TMN GO), HBO GO Canada and TMN Encore GO will be available to Eastlink TV customers, effective immediately. Available at no additional cost to Eastlink customers who have a subscription to The Movie Network and TMN Encore, TMN GO puts more than 1,000 hours of high-definition quality programming – including Hollywood hit movies, exclusive series from HBO, CINEMAX and Showtime, Canadian original films and series, and movie classics from every era – at subscribers’ finger tips. With this announcement, TMN GO is now available to approximately 80% of TMN’s overall subscriber base.

This news follows the announcement today from Eastlink that content from The Movie Network, HBO Canada and TMN Encore is also available on the Eastlink To Go video-streaming platform, offering even more access and choice for Eastlink subscribers.

Eastlink subscribers can download the free TMN GO app from the App Store (www.AppStore.com/TMNGO) on their iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini and iPod touch or simply visit tmngo.ca through their chosen web-browser (Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari or Firefox).

TMN GO is supported by the iPhone 3GS and subsequent models, iPod touch (3rd and 4th generation) and the iPad and iPad Mini (running iOS 5.0 or higher).

With a sleek cinematic design and interface that offers superior functionality, TMN GO is a best-in-class service that offers customers access to more than 1,000 hours of premium content. Key features of the service include:

  •          Pick-up-and-play technology which allows users to start watching on one device and continue on another;
  •          A Watchlist function which lets users keep up with their favourite series throughout the run;
  •          Parental controls to allow users to manage the content that family members of every age have access to;
  •          Social networking features which allow users to “share” and “like” favourite titles instantly with friends over Facebook, Twitter and email;
  •          Multiple members of the household can enjoy the service with up to three simultaneous streams and five registered devices per subscriber household;
  •          The service stream over Wi-Fi, 3G and LTE  networks, allowing users to manage their data consumption;
  •          Adaptive Streaming which automatically switches video quality to ensure the best viewing experience available based on the user’s Internet connection;
  •          Video Quality Control gives users control over video quality, allowing them to further control their bandwidth consumption.
