TIFF and Bell Media’s Crave continue to create meaningful connections by bringing Canadians together to experience film from the comfort of their own homes. The next instalments of Stay-at-Home Cinema will take place Tuesday, April 28 (Pan’s Labyrinth), Thursday, April 30 (Before Sunrise), and Saturday, May 2 (The Big Lebowski).
Stay-at-Home Cinema is an event to look forward to each week, and a way to connect film lovers to each other while they enjoy classic films. Additional movie titles — all available on Crave — along with special guests are announced each week on TIFF and Crave’s respective social media channels.
Starting Tuesday, April 28, our virtual Q&As will be livestreamed on tiff.net and on TIFF’s Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channels. At 7pm EDT, multiple award–winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro will chat with TIFF Artistic Director and Co-Head Cameron Bailey. At 7:30pm EDT, audiences are invited to screen del Toro’s TIFF 2007 international box-office hit and critical darling, Pan’s Labyrinth on Crave.
On Thursday, April 30, the featured film is Richard Linklater’s 1995 hit Before Sunrise. Bailey will discuss the film and its longevity with award-winning lead actor Ethan Hawke at 7pm EDT on the TIFF livestreams. At 7:30pm EDT, audiences are invited to screen Before Sunrise on Crave.
On Saturday, May 2, Stay-at-Home Cinema presents the cult classic The Big Lebowski. Bailey’s special guest for the Q&A at 7pm EDT is yet to be confirmed. Audiences can stream The Big Lebowski at 7:30pm EDT, only on Crave.
Crave recently announced that it is providing one month free for any new, direct-to-consumer subscribers with access to the internet, expanding the trial period during which Canadians can sample the service from seven to 30 days. For a limited time, the one-time-only offer is for first-time, direct-to-consumer subscribers, and can be accessed now on the Crave app or Crave.ca.
