Cast of #TrueBlood Will Appear in First-Ever Live Social Media Event Airing on HBO Canada

HBO Canada, a multiplex channel of Astral’s The Movie Network (Eastern Canada) and Corus Entertainment’s Movie Central (Western Canada), presents HBO’s first-ever live broadcast from the set of Fangtasia. Canadian fans are encouraged to follow The Movie Network and Movie Central on Facebook and Twitter leading up to the blood-pumping, fan-fueled interactive pre-show #TrueBlood: Live from Set that airs live on Sunday, June 16 at 8:45 p.m. ET/ 6:45 p.m. MT on HBO Canada and repeat airing at 8:45 MT, directly followed by the Canadian broadcast premiere of Season 6 of True Blood at 9 p.m. ET/MT. 

Hosted by comedienne and Parks and Recreation actress Retta, #TrueBlood: Live from Set will provide a rare opportunity for fans to engage in a live social media experience with the show’s cast who will answer questions from fans and share details of the new season. Cast members who are scheduled to appear include Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgård, Ryan Kwanten, Rutina Wesley, Sam Trammell, Nelsan Ellis, Deborah Ann Woll, Carrie Preston, Todd Lowe, Chris Bauer, Kristin Bauer van Straten and Joe Manganiello. True Blood Season 6 premieres Sunday, June 16 at 9:00 p.m. ET/MT, immediately following #TrueBlood: Live from Set. Based on the popular Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris, the Emmy® and Golden Globe®-winning hit series was created by Alan Ball, creator of HBO’s Emmy®-winning series Six Feet Under. The show follows waitress and part-faerie Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), who can hear people’s thoughts, vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and vampire Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård).

As a result of the live social media event, this week’s new episode of Less Than Kind will premiere on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. ET/MT on HBO Canada, a half hour earlier than its regularly scheduled timeslot. In episode 4, Josh and Shandra hatch a hasty wedding to save their house. Sheldon organizes a last minute bachelor party for his brother while dealing with an extremely stressed Miriam. Lubbe shares surprising news with Danny, and Jim saves the day.

Episodes of Less Than Kind will be available for repeat viewing on demand, and on TMN GO, after the broadcast. In addition, this week’s new episode of Less Than Kind repeats on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. ET/MT before the next episode premieres in its regular timeslot on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 8:30 p.m. ET/MT.

In Eastern Canada, True Blood and Less Than Kind will be available in High Definition, on demand, on TMN GO and on HBO Canada OnLine.

In Western Canada, True Blood and Less Than Kind will be available in High Definition on HBO Canada HD; on demand, via mobile and online with participating service providers.
