The Grammy-winning, globally renowned British alt-rock band Radiohead perform their latest album — the critically acclaimed masterpiece The King of Limbs — in its entirety in their first live television appearance of 2011 for From the Basement. Super Channel, Canada’s only national English pay television network, airs the performance of these songs in its entirety exclusively for Canadians July 30 at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET in vivid HD.
One of the most successful and influential acts of their generation, Radiohead has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and won several awards, including three Grammys, for their eight groundbreaking records. With the exception of their surprise Glastonbury appearance, the band are yet to announce any tour dates, making Radiohead – The King of Limbs: Live From The Basement the first opportunity for fans to hear them perform this new material live. The 55-minute intimate broadcast will feature the notoriously elusive band performing all the tracks from their new album as well as unrecorded bonus tracks in a studio setting with some additional behind the scenes material.
The production of the performance brings together long-time Radiohead collaborators, Grammy-winning producer Nigel Godrich and creative director Dilly Gent, part of the acclaimed production team behind the music series ‘From The Basement’. The result will surely be an unforgettable moment in music history.
