Super Channel, Canada’s only national English pay television network, announced today it has pre-licensed the 8 episode documentary series Naked News Uncovered from Toronto based. The Super Channel original production, set to begin filming later this month, is slated to premiere exclusively on Super Channel in summer 2013.

Naked News Uncovered is a quirky documentary series that smashes the fourth wall to tell the behind-the-scenes stories of the strangest news organization in the world. As the world’s first and only daily all nude news show, The Naked News burst onto the world scene in 1999 and garnered massive media attention. Produced in Toronto, The Naked News is a subscription website and daily TV newscast featuring attractive female anchors who shed all their clothes while delivering the news. It’s funny, sexy and often surreal…but it’s real! In 2012, The Naked News is still very much alive but is now undergoing a thorough re-examination of itself in order to grow its market share in a global marketplace…and looking to take the franchise to the next level.
