RDS: Exclusive French-language Network of the CFL and the Montreal Alouettes

RDS, exclusive French-language broadcaster of the Montreal Alouettes, is proud to present the widest football coverage ever broadcast on its airwaves. In addition to 18 Alouettes games, RDS and RDS2 will present 22 other CFL games as well as playoff action leading to the historic 100th Grey Cup. “As we prepare to celebrate the 100th edition of the Grey Cup, we are delighted that our partner RDS is increasing its coverage of the CFL for our Quebec fans and fans across the country,” says CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon.

Denis Casavant, Pierre Vercheval, Marc Labrecque, Matthieu Proulx, Didier Orméjuste, Claude Mailhot and Mike Sutherland are back in the broadcast booth for CFL games. RDS.ca will be an exhaustive source of information for Canadian football fans. In addition to a special section dedicated to the Montreal Alouettes and the CFL,Pierre Vercheval and Matthieu Proulx return with their weekly column on RDS.ca while Didier Orméjuste continues with his GRAND CLUB RDS blog. The Al’s Luc Brodeur-Jourdain joins the RDS.ca team as a regular contributor. While he makes his CFL debut, Samuel Giguère will continue with his column on RDS.ca.

New on RDS for the 100th Grey Cup: The CFL blog
For this historic season, the CFL, in collaboration with RDS, is launching a new player’s blog. Throughout the season, follow the action up close with commentary by Marc-Olivier Brouillette (Montreal), Pierre-Luc Labbé (Winnipeg), Dominic Picard (Saskatchewan), Marc Calixte (Calgary) and Rolly Lumbala (B.C.), just a few of the CFL stars sharing their player’s point of view throughout the upcoming season. This fall, RDS presents Gravée dans l’Histoire: La LCF en 8 chapitres, an 8-part documentary series on the history of the Grey Cup. What’s more, during the season the pre-game shows will carry all the festivities building up to the 100th Grey Cup. A number of segments on the Cup’s glorious past will be presented throughout the season.
