William & Kate Lifetime Movie to Premiere Exclusively on Slice in Canada

After much anticipation, Slice will broadcast the exclusive Canadian premiere of William & Kate (Lifetime Television Original Movie) on Sunday, April 24 at 8pm ET/5pm PT. Based on the romance between Prince William (Nico Evers-Swindell, NCIS: Los Angeles, Law & Order) and Kate Middleton (Camilla Luddington, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, The Defenders), this movie will take viewers through the heart-pounding love story that charmed the world. In preparation for the most talked about movie event on television, viewers are invited to watch an intimate preview of all things Will and Kate. The documentary series, Royal Wedding of a Lifetime will premiere exclusively on Slice in six one-hour back-to-back episodes from 2pm ET/11am PT to 8pm ET/5pm PT on Sunday, April 24.

“Slice has always been a destination for fabulous wedding content – and the Royal nuptial is the ultimate wedding,” said Barbara Williams, Senior Vice President of Content, Shaw Media.” We are delighted to give Canadians the exclusive first look at the love story that brought Prince William and Kate together and all of the intimate details surrounding their special day.”

William & Kate depicts the real life fairytale love story of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. He was the most eligible bachelor of his generation. She was a stunning girl, the ordinary daughter of upper middle-class commoners. The movie chronicles their story of a friendship-turned-love-affair, through nearly a decade-long courtship complicated by social and royal pressures and global media attention, right up to the long-anticipated storybook wedding. William & Kate also stars Ben Cross (Star Trek, Chariots of Fire) as Prince Charles, Serena Scott-Thomas (The World Is Not Enough) as Carole Middleton, Richard Reid (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone) as Derek Rogers, a close friend of Prince William’s, and Victoria Tennant (L.A. Story) as Celia, the woman who gives middle-class Kate etiquette lessons.

The Royal Wedding of a Lifetime docu-series spares viewers no detail in the intimate story behind the couple’s friendship and love affair; it anticipates all the elements of their royal nuptials and gazes into the royal crystal ball to see how their real life fairytale will unfold. Each of the six one-hour episodes is brought to life with footage of William and Kate and interviews with royal experts and those who are close to the couple.
