FOX FOOTBALL DAILY on SportsNet One, Beginning August 19

Sportsnet today announced it has secured an agreement with FOX Sports 1 for the exclusive Canadian rights to FOX FOOTBALL DAILY, a new, weekday football news show premiering Monday, Aug. 19 at 6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT on Sportsnet ONE.  

An extension of the hugely popular NFL pre-game show FOX NFL SUNDAYFOX FOOTBALL DAILY covers both the NFL and U.S. college football in a live, fast-paced format combining up-to-the-minute news, highlights, features and analysis. The one-hour show is hosted by FOX NFL Sunday broadcaster Curt Menefee with analysis and opinion from some of the biggest names to ever play the game including: Ronde Barber, Scott Fujita, Randy Moss, Brian Urlacher, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson, Michael Strahan, Troy Aikman and John Lynch.  Insider Jay Glazer and rules analyst Mike Pereira will also be featured.  Additionally, Joel Klatt offers his college football expertise with analysis from FOX COLLEGE FOOTBALL lead analyst Charles Davis, Petros Papadakis and contributions from play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson, Mike Hill and host Erin Andrews.

Prime Time Sports with Bob McCown – Canada’s most-listened to sports radio afternoon drive show – will lead into FOX FOOTBALL DAILY on Sportsnet ONE from 4 – 6 p.m. ET / 1 – 3 p.m. PT, Monday through Friday, beginning August 19. Sportsnet 360 will simulcast the third hour of Prime Time Sports from 6 – 7 p.m. ET / 3 – 4 p.m. PT, Monday through Friday.

Today’s announcement complements Sportsnet’s already robust multiplatform football offering including Thursday Night NFL Football, two NFL Sunday afternoon games each week throughout the entire regular season, the Bills in Toronto series and NCAA football. Sportsnet is also the exclusive Canadian home of the Vanier Cup and CIS football.
