As NHL GMs get set to open their wallets on Canada Day, Hockeycentral Free Agency Special is the destination for all the latest NHL free agent signings on Thursday, July 1 at 3 p.m. (ET)/12 p.m. (PT) on Rogers Sportsnet.
Hockeycentral analysts Nick Kypreos, Doug MacLean and host Daren Millard will keep viewers and sportsnet.ca users up-to-date on all the signings.
The panel will return later in the evening with an hour edition of the Hockeycentral Free Agency Special at 9 p.m. (ET)/6 p.m. (PT) to re-cap and debate all the day’s signings and target the homes for the remaining unrestricted free agents. All Sportsnet Connected reporters will be on hand across the six NHL Canadian cities with news on any signings and one-on-one interviews with the team’s GMs. Hockeycentral will break any late evening signings during the prime edition of Connected at 10 p.m. (ET)/7 p.m. (PT).
Kypreos, MacLean and Millard will look at all six Canadian teams and which ones will be the most aggressive spenders. Also, the panel will deliberate the NHL destinations for prized UFAs such as Ilya Kovalchuk and Evgeni Nabokov, as well as whether both Russians will be lured by the big dollars in the Kontinental Hockey League.
In addition, Mark Spector has posted the free-agency needs of all NHL teams on sportsnet.ca. The website also has its NHL free agency and trade trackers for fans to follow all the latest transactions.
For all the scores, highlights, breaking news and inside stories from the NHL tune in to Sportsnet Connected and log on to sportsnet.ca. “Your home team. First.”
