Sportsnet Announces Calgary Flames Television and Radio Broadcast Schedules

Sportsnet today announced its 2013 Calgary Flames regional broadcast schedule, featuring 34 regular season games on television and all 48 games on radio, kicking off with the home opener on Sunday, Jan. 20 at 4 p.m. MT on Sportsnet West and Sportsnet 960 The FAN as the Flames host the San Jose Sharks at the Saddledome. All season long, Sportsnet will keep fans connected to their home team first with more Flames and Canadian NHL team games on TV than any other broadcaster, in addition to unparalleled coverage across radio, digital and print. 

Thirty-one of Sportsnet’s Calgary Flames games will air on Sportsnet West, while three will air on the Sportsnet ONE companion channel, Sportsnet Flames. All TV broadcasts will feature play-by-play announcer Rob Kerr, former NHLer and analyst Charlie Simmer and host Roger MillionsHOCKEY CENTRAL will preview every game with a half hour pre-game show, and will also provide intermission and post-game analysis. In addition to the telecasts, Sportsnet 960 The FAN will broadcast all 48 games of the Calgary Flames 2013 season. For the complete radio broadcast schedule, click here. Host Pat Steinbergwill be joined by analyst and former NHLer Mike Rogers with veteran Calgary Flames broadcaster Peter Maher handling the play-by-play.

Highlights from Sportsnet’s Calgary Flames regular season TV broadcast schedule include:

·         Four all-Canadian showdowns, featuring two games vs. Vancouver and two games vs. Edmonton

·         12 Northwest Division matchups

·         A special visit from the Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings on Monday, March. 11

In addition to being the official regional television broadcast rights holders for the Calgary Flames (including radio rights on Sportsnet 960 The FAN), Sportsnet is the official regional television broadcast rights holder for the Vancouver Canucks , Edmonton Oilers, Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs (including radio rights on Sportsnet 590 The FAN).
