Sportsnet Announces James Cybulski and Caroline Cameron as New Connected Morning Anchors

Sportsnet announced today that James Cybulski and Caroline Cameron are the new hosts of the morning edition of Connected, airing weekdays at 6 a.m. local time on Sportsnet East, Ontario, West and Pacific.  Delivering can’t-miss news paired with a healthy dose of humour, the vibrant duo will make their debut behind the Connected desk on Sunday, Feb. 9 in a special edition ofConnected that complements Sportsnet’s daily coverage of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

On Monday, March 17, Cameron and Cybulski will settle into their regular one-hour Connected morning broadcast that will air on an hourly loop throughout the weekday mornings.  (Visit sportsnet.ca for broadcast schedule).

Based out of the new, state-of-the-art Connected studio in VancouverCameron and Cybulski will start the morning off right for Canadian sports fans with a refreshing blend of entertainment, highlights and special features. Familiar faces joining Cybulski and Cameron for regular appearances include award-winning journalists and Sportsnet analysts Stephen Brunt and Damien Cox.

Veteran broadcaster Cybulski joined Sportsnet in 2013, anchoring the Pacific edition of Connected. He brings more than 20 years of sports broadcasting experience, including covering the Stanley Cup Final, several Olympic Games, the World Series, NBA finals, the Grey Cup, the World Junior Hockey Championship, the World Figure Skating Championship and more. In 2011, Cybulski won the Gemini Award for Best Sports Feature for his piece on the relationship between Terry Fox and Jay Triano, while the previous year he was nominated for Best Sports Reporting for his work at Vancouver 2010.

Cameron began her broadcasting career as a reporter and producer for Rogers TV in London, ON before becoming an intern at Sportsnet 590 The FAN. Rising through the ranks at Rogers, Cameron provided sports updates for News and Sportsnet throughout the last two years. During her time with Sportsnet, Cameron has covered a wide range of live events as a reporter, and has written for sportsnet.ca. An avid tennis player and blogger, Cameron lists court-side reporting at the 2013 Rogers Cup as a career highlight.
