SportsNet Keeps You Connected With Tiger For The 2010 MASTERS

Sportsnet Connected will carry the driver with its coverage of the Tiger Woods story, starting Monday, April 5th, as the world’s No. 1 golfer returns to the PGA for the 2010 Masters Tournament.

Connected reporter Arash Madani will be in Augusta, Georgia all next week filing for the early and primetime editions of Connected during the 74th Masters Tournament, which begins April 8th. Connected will have all the interviews, highlights and a breakdown of the pivotal shots throughout the tournament, including the winner of the green jacket. Also, Madani will blog and post Twitter updates on sportsnet.ca during the Masters.

In addition, sportsnet.ca will carry live coverage of the Woods press conference on Monday, April 5th at 2 p.m. (ET).

Woods will also be featured in a Connected five-part series called “Athletes Gone Bad,” which debuts on Saturday, April 3 on the early and primetime editions of Connected. The series will focus on athletes who became embroiled in both legal and personal scandals that rocked their careers. The athletes being featured include:

· Kobe Bryant – Saturday, April 3
· Mike Tyson – Sunday, April 4
· Pete Rose – Monday, April 5
· Michael Vick – Tuesday, April 6
· Tiger Woods – Wednesday, April 7

Woods was involved in auto accident last year on November 27th which sparked a media frenzy, heightened by the news of Woods’ martial infidelity. Two weeks later, Woods announced he would be taking an indefinite leave from professional golf to focus on his marriage. On March 16, 2010, he announced his return to the PGA with his participation in the 2010 Masters Tournament. Woods will be looking to win his fifth Masters as he draws closer to Jack Nicklaus who holds the most Masters victories with six.
