New Animated and Live-Action Series Highlights Teletoon’s Unreal Fall Daytime Lineup

With seven brand new series, new seasons of five returning series and a sneak-peek of the upcoming original production, Detentionaire, TELETOON’s daytime lineup for fall 2011 is truly unreal.

Joining the TELETOON lineup this fall are new series The Looney Tunes Show, Hole in the Wall, Beyond Human (working title) and Young Justice, along with TELETOON original productions My Life Me, Best Ed and Meta Jets. Popular series returning with new seasons include TELETOON original productions Johnny Test (season five) and Jimmy Two-Shoes (season three); as well as fan-favourites Ben 10: Ultimate Alien (season two) and Adventure Time with Finn and Jake (season one continued).

The Looney Tunes Show
New Series • 26 x 30 mins
Premieres Monday, September 5 at 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. ET/PT
Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck are back in an all-new modern comedy series featuring all of your favourite Looney Tunes characters. Fresh designs coupled with a vivid, contemporary animation style enhance the timeless wit and charm that make these classic characters so beloved around the world. No longer confined to seven-minute shorts, Bugs and Daffy’s larger-than-life personalities (and egos) offer an irreverent, comical take on our modern world and introduce a whole new realm of possibilities. The series also features Merrie Melodies – animated music videos of original songs spotlighting everyone from Elmer Fudd to Pepe Le Pew, plus all new adventures with the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote in stunning CG.

Hole in the Wall
New Series • 40 x 30 mins
Premieres Monday, September 5 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT
Speed, agility and a hearty sense of humour are essential tools to survive Hole in the Wall – one of the trickiest, fastest, funniest and wettest shows on the planet – as contestants contort their bodies every which way to fit through the wall or else end up being swept away into a pool of water. As the rounds progress and the pace heats up, mind over matter, quick thinking, coordination and clever teamwork play a crucial role as each team strives to manoeuvre through walls literally closing in on them.

My Life Me
New Series • 13 x 30 mins
Premieres Saturday, September 10 at 2:30 p.m. ET/PT
Two’s company and three’s a crowd, but in My Life Me four is a formula for comedic catastrophe as Birch Small attempts to fit in with Liam, Sandra and Raffi at a cooperative high school. They fumble with teen angst and their identities as they navigate new social terrain and try to learn who they are.  Add in the friction that comes with relationships forged out of necessity and there’s a perfectly taut environment ready to crack…into peals of laughter.

Beyond Human (Working Title)
New Series • 13 x 30 mins
Premieres Friday, September 9 at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT
Throughout history, the forces of evolution and genetic mutation have endowed humans with astonishing new abilities and features. It’s a process that continues to this day and nowhere is it more evident than in the fascinating world of Beyond Human. In this series, host Daniel Browning Smith – who has been dubbed the most flexible man in the world – scours the globe for people with unique genetic traits that translate into remarkable powers. In each episode, these “super heroes” undergo tests that may help explain their amazing gifts, while viewers discover the long history of people with extraordinary powers.

Young Justice
New Series • 13 x 30 mins
Premieres Friday, September 9 at 7 p.m. ET/PT
Being a teenager means proving yourself over and over – to peers, parents, teachers, mentors and ultimately, to yourself. But what if you were a teenage superhero? How much harder would it be to prove yourself in a world of super powers, super villains and super secrets? Would you be ready for life-or-death rites of passage? Would you be ready to join the ranks of the great heroes and prove you’re worthy of the Justice League? That’s exactly what Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis will find out as members of Young Justice.

Best Ed
New Series • 26 x 30 mins
Premieres Saturday, September 10 at 7 a.m. ET/PT
Best Ed follows the unlikely friendship between a dog named Ed and a squirrel named Buddy. Ed wakes up every morning to be the best Ed he can be, even though it drives Buddy bonkers.  But for every funny blunder Buddy suffers, thanks to Ed’s cloying good deeds, Buddy knows that while it’s hard living with Ed, it’s harder to live without him.  Meet the new odd couple for kids: one best Buddy and one Best Ed!

Meta Jets
New Series • 40 x 30 mins
Premieres Saturday, September 10 at 3:30 p.m. ET/PT
In a world where aviation reigns supreme, flying aces compete on the Aerial Racing Circuit (ARC) to battle for supremacy. For four young pilots in the ARC, there’s more at stake than winning races. Under the command of Captain Strong, pilots Ace, Burner, Foxtrot and Vector form the elite flying team known as the Metasquadron. The team transforms their lightning-fast race jets into battle-ready fliers and work together to protect the world from harm at the hands of the evil General Raven and his Black Cloud organization.

Detentionaire
New Series • Five-Episode Sneak-Peek
Airs Monday, September 12 to Friday, September 16 at 5 p.m. ET/PT
Lee Ping is about to start grade 10 – the best year of his life – when he is blamed for pulling off an epic, mind-blowing practical joke and sentenced to spend the rest of the school year in detention. It’s goodbye freedom, goodbye girls and hello worst year of his life. Detentionaire follows Lee in his attempts to uncover the mystery behind the practical joke and clear his name.
