Former Winnipeg Blue Bombers Head Coach Paul LaPolice Joins the CFL ON TSN Broadcast Team

As TSN heads into the 100th GREY CUP PLAYOFFS and towards the 100th GREY CUP, the network welcomes a new member to its CFL ON TSN broadcast team with the addition of former CFL head coach Paul LaPolice as a guest analyst.LaPolice, who was the head coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for two seasons, will work alongside CFL ON TSN host Dave Randorf and analysts Chris Schultz,Matt DuniganJock Climie, and Milt Stegall for the remainder for the CFL season. He makes his television debut this week and will be featured on the CFL ON TSNpanel and in a new Coaches Playbook segment breaking down plays. LaPolice will also break down the action from a coach’s perspective on SPORTSCENTREthroughout the 100th GREY CUP PLAYOFFS and the 100th GREY CUP.

“Paul’s intimate knowledge of the CFL makes him an intriguing and entertaining addition to the CFL ON TSN as the league heads into the post-season,” said Mark Milliere, Senior Vice-President, Production, TSN. “Having been on the sidelines with many of the CFL’s top players, Paul brings his insight as a former coach to all of the action that will unfold during the playoffs and in the 100th GREY CUP on TSN.”

“I’m extremely excited to join the CFL ON TSN and be a part of the team broadcasting the historic 100th GREY CUP,” said LaPolice. “The fact that anything can happen in the playoffs is what makes the next few weeks in the CFL so interesting – and fans will definitely be in for some thrilling games and a few surprises.”

A football coach with 20 years of experience, LaPolice became the 28th head coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2010. In 2011, LaPolice led the Bombers to a first-place finish in the East Division – marking the first time that the team had won its division in 10 years – and to the 99th GREY CUP. LaPolice was also named a finalist for CFL Coach of the Year for the 2011 season.

Prior to being named Winnipeg’s head coach, LaPolice was part of the coaching staff for the Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and Saskatchewan Roughriders. As a member of the Roughriders, LaPolice coached in two Grey Cups, winning the championship with the team in 2007.

A native of Nashua, NH, LaPolice spent seven years in the U.S. college ranks with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the University of New Hampshire, Western Connecticut State, and Maine Maritime Academy before joining the CFL in 2000.
