The 500 is turning 100! The INDIANAPOLIS 500 is marking its centennial anniversary and TSN and TSN2 celebrate the historic event with 15 hours of qualifying and race day action. Live coverage of the INDIANAPOLIS 500 runs Sunday, May 29 at 12 noon ET on TSN. Coverage is also available on TSN MOBILE TV.
This year’s milestone race has open-wheel drivers chasing the chance to make auto racing history. Canadians Paul Tracy from Scarborough, ON, Alex Tagliani from Lachenaie, QC and 24-year old James Hinchcliffe from Oakville, ON will be vying for a position on the starting grid alongside Scotland’s Dario Franchitti, reigning INDIANAPOLIS 500 and IZOD IndyCar Series champion and Brazil’s Helio Castroneves, a three-time INDIANAPOLIS 500 winner.
Leading up to the big race, TSN2 primes racing fans with almost eight hours of exhilarating qualifying action from Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The 33-car field will be determined through Pole Day Qualifying on Saturday, May 21 at 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET and Bump Day Qualifying on Sunday, May 22 at 4:30 p.m. ET on TSN2.
This weekend, TSN and TSN2 features even more motorsport coverage, including racing from the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, the NASCAR Nationwide Series and Formula 1 (see TSN.ca for complete broadcast schedules).
