The Edmonton Oilers weren’t the only big winners last night, as the LG NHL DRAFT LOTTERY awarded record audience numbers to TSN. Preliminary overnight data from BBM Canada confirms the average audience for the 30-minute original TSN production was 556,000, making it the most-watched NHL draft lottery ever*. Yesterday’s audience marked an 87% increase over last year’s NHL draft lottery on TSN.
TSN’s production of the LG NHL DRAFT LOTTERY was also carried live on Versus in the U.S.
This marks the first time in franchise history that the Edmonton Oilers will pick #1 overall in the NHL Entry Draft. TSN has live coverage of the 2010 NHL ENTRY DRAFT in June.
