The Sixth Annual BIOSTEEL ALL CANADIAN BASKETBALL GAMES, Canada’s Marquee High School Hoops Showcase, Returns March 29, Exclusively on TSN

Canada’s brightest emerging basketball stars are set to shine on Sunday, March 29 with the return of the BIOSTEEL ALL CANADIAN BASKETBALL GAMES, airing exclusively on TSN. Broadcast from the University of Toronto’s Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport, the BIOSTEEL ALL CANADIAN BASKETBALL GAMES feature Canada’s top high school basketball players, with 24 players competing in each game.

The network’s live coverage tips off with the BIOSTEEL ALL CANADIAN GIRLS BASKETBALL GAME streaming live at 3 p.m. ET on TSN.ca and the TSN app. The BIOSTEEL ALL CANADIAN BOYS BASKETBALL GAME airs live at 7:30 p.m. ET on TSN5, TSN.ca, and the TSN app. TSN delivers a primetime encore of the BIOSTEEL ALL CANADIAN GIRLS BASKETBALL GAME on Monday, March 30 at 6:30 p.m. ET on TSN4.

Full rosters for the BIOSTEEL ALL CANADIAN BASKETBALL GAMES will be revealed tonight (Friday, Feb. 21) during the TANGERINE RAPTORS BASKETBALL ON TSN halftime show when the Toronto Raptors host the Phoenix Suns on at 7:30 p.m. ET on TSN.

The full Boys and Girls Nominees Lists for the 2020 BioSteel games are available online for viewing at TSN.ca and biosteelallcanadian.com, listing all players nominated for selection by the respective Girls and Boys Selection Committees. Multiple rounds of voting will narrow these lists down to the Top 24 selections for each game:

In addition to the BIOSTEEL ALL CANADIAN BASKETBALL GAMES, the Nike Skills Challenge is set to take place at Athlete Institute in Orangeville, Ont., on Saturday, March 28. Saturday evening’s events include the Nike Boys Futures Game, Three Point Shootout, and the Slam Dunk Competition. The Nike Girls Futures Game takes place on Sunday, March 29 at 1 p.m. ET at the University of Toronto’s Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport. Since its debut in 2015, the BIOSTEEL ALL CANADIAN BASKETBALL GAMES have shone the spotlight on an impressive list of players who have gone on to play basketball at a professional level. Alumni currently in the NBA include Nickeil Alexander-Walker (New Orleans Pelicans), Ignas Brazdeikis (New York Knicks), Oshae Brissett (Toronto Raptors), Luguentz Dort (Oklahoma City Thunder), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder), Thon Maker (Detroit Pistons), and Jamal Murray (Denver Nuggets).

The game’s alumni also showcase an impressive 53 active NCAA Division I players including girls game alumni Laeticia Amihere (South Carolina), Micah Dennis (Oklahoma State), Brynn Masikewich (UCLA), Cristina Morra (Wake Forest), and Aerial Wilson (Memphis). Boy’s game alumni competing in NCAA Division I include Marcus Carr (Minnesota), Quincy Guerrier (Syracuse), Koby McEwen (Marquette), Isaiaha Mike (SMU), Andrew Nembhard (Florida), and Addison Patterson (Oregon).

Selection Committee
For the 2020 edition of the event, the BIOSTEEL ALL CANADIAN BASKETBALL GAMES have further expanded the games’ selection committees, which are comprised of a comprehensive cross-section of Canadian basketball stakeholders. These include provincial and territorial representatives, clubs, coaches, and scouts from across the country.
