Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby is recovering from a devastating concussion and not yet declared fit to play but he is still consider the best player in the NHL today, as determined by a vote of TSN hockey experts in the network’s second-annual ranking of the NHL’s Top 50 players.
The complete list of players will be debated and discussed tonight during theNHL ON TSN TOP 50 PLAYERS special at 8 p.m. ET on TSN.
The 60-minute original TSN production, also available on demand at TSN.ca, is hosted by James Duthie and features analysts Ray Ferraro, Marc Crawford and Aaron Ward.
This marks the second year in a row Crosby is No. 1. This year’s list includes Washington Capitals superstar Alexander Ovechkin, Anaheim Ducks forward and 2010 Hart Trophy winner Corey Perry, Detroit Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk, and Vancouver Canucks forwards Daniel and Henrik Sedin in the top 10 with Crosby.
