The welcome mats may not be out in Ottawa or Cleveland tomorrow night as Dany Heatley and LeBron James return to the cities they left behind. TSN and TSN2 will have live coverage of the two highly-anticipated “homecomings” with the Sharks @ Senators on TSN at 7:30 p.m. ET and Heat @ Cavilers on TSN2 at 8 p.m. ET.
Since demanding a trade two years ago, former Ottawa Senator Dany Heatley has become one of the nation’s capital’s most notorious former residents and can expect a vocal reception when his San Jose Sharks play in front of the Scotiabank Place crowd. In addition to the live coverage of the game, Brent Wallace has a report on Heatley’s return to Ottawa in the 6 p.m. ET edition of SportsCentre followed by additional reaction on THAT’S HOCKEY at 7 p.m. ET.
King James may not get the royal treatment in his return to Cleveland either. Since making “The Decision” to take his talents to South Beach in the off season, Cavs fans have been marking Dec. 2 on their calendars to give LeBron a warm welcome home. TSN’s James Cybulski is in Cleveland covering one of the most anticipated games on the NBA schedule and will have a full report leading up to the game during the 6 p.m. edition of SPORTSCENTRE.
TSN.ca will also give fans a special look at other infamous hostile welcomes in world of sports including a look back at Eric Lindros’ first game in Quebec City and Roger Clemens’ first game at Fenway Park as member of the Toronto Blue Jays.
