TSN 1050 Toronto Launches New Morning Drive Program, FIRST UP: WITH KOROLNEK AND COLAIACOVO, Beginning Today

With new NHL and NBA seasons underway, TSN 1050 Toronto today announced the launch of its new morning drive program, FIRST UP WITH KOROLNEK AND COLAIACOVO. Led by former Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Carlo Colaiacovo alongside long-time TSN Radio host and producer Aaron Korolnek, the program joins TSN 1050’s daily programming lineup, and streams on iHeartRadio.ca and the iHeartRadio Canada app.

Featuring a multitude of fan-favourite hosts and exciting new voices, TSN 1050 programming is available on AM 1050 in the Greater Toronto Area, as well as live and on demand on iHeartRadio.ca, TSN.ca, and the iHeartRadio Canada and TSN apps, where all of the station’s programs can also be enjoyed as podcasts. TSN 1050 content can also be found through Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and all major podcast platforms.

TSN 1050 Toronto’s new daily lineup includes:

  • 6 to 10 a.m. ET: FIRST UP WITH KOROLNEK AND COLAIACOVO – TSN 1050’s Carlo Colaiacovo and Aaron Korolnek kick off the day by exploring the biggest headlines, trending stories, and debates from around the world of sports, including in-depth discussions with athletes, analysts, and TSN Insiders.
  • 12 noon to 1 p.m. ET: LEAFS LUNCH – With new hosts in BarDown’s Julia Tocheri and Michael ‘Al’s Brother’ DiStefano at the helm, the station’s popular weekday midday program LEAFS LUNCH returns as the prime source for trusted Leafs news and analysis, with contributions from a multitude of regular guests, including TSN Hockey Insiders, analysts, reporters, and BarDown personalities.
  • 1 to 4 p.m. ET: GAME PLAY – On Canada’s first daily sports talk show focused on sports betting and fantasy, host Matthew Cauz is joined by analysts and experts from The TSN EDGE and beyond to provide listeners with an inside look at every sport’s latest lines, greatest prop bets, and up-to-date fantasy news and information.
  • 4 to 7 p.m. ET: OVERDRIVE – The acclaimed trio of Bryan Hayes, Jamie ‘Noodles’ McLennan, and Jeff ‘The O’Dog’ O’Neill continues to anchor TSN 1050’s afternoon drive. OVERDRIVE is the most-listened to afternoon drive sports talk radio program in Toronto in all key demos, and with fan-favourite segments like Grit Grinders, Gerry’s Percentages, and much more, the hosts continue to hang out with sports fans each day to chat about sports, life, and everything else. In addition to listening live and on-demand, fans can also watch OVERDRIVE weekdays at 6 p.m. ET on TSN (visit TSN.ca/TV for confirmed broadcast schedule).

“We’re excited to continue to connect with Toronto sports fans every day with this dynamic new lineup of entertaining, informed personalities,” said Jeff MacDonald, Program Director, TSN 1050 Toronto. “TSN 1050 brings fans smart, informed sports debate and discussion throughout the day, beginning with Carlo and Aaron each morning on FIRST UP. Julia and Michael are exciting new voices leading LEAFS LUNCH, and Matthew Cauz explores a different side of the sports fan experience on GAME PLAY. And as for Hayes, Noodles, and The O’Dog, they’ll keep grinding out the end of the work day as only they can.”

TSN 1050’s updated lineup also includes the recently-announced weekly program THE RAPTORS BEAT, airing every Thursday at 10 a.m. ET. Hosted by TSN 1050’s Raptors host Nikki Reyes and TSN basketball reporter Josh Lewenberg, the show takes fans behind the scenes with exclusive access, insight, and analysis into Canada’s NBA team.
