The clay courts heat up on TSN and TSN2, as both networks have complete live coverage of the 2010 FRENCH OPEN, featuring the biggest names in men’s and women’s tennis competing at Roland Garros for the second Grand Slam tennis title of the year. In total, TSN and TSN2 will air more than 105 combined hours of live tennis action from Paris – the most ever in network history for the FRENCH OPEN.
Live coverage begins on Sunday, May 23 at 12 noon ET on TSN2 and continues through to the women’s and men’s singles Finals on June 5 and 6, respectively, on TSN (see below for complete TSN and TSN2 broadcast schedule).
Defending men’s champion and ATP #1-ranked player Roger Federer looks for a second-consecutive FRENCH OPEN singles title. Federer will be in tough against ATP #2-ranked player Rafael Nadal, who defeated Federer on clay-court last Sunday to win the Madrid Open.
On the women’s side, WTA #6-ranked Svetlana Kuznetsova will go for back-to-back wins at Roland Garros against a highly-competitive field featuring Serena and Venus Williams, ranked #1 and #2 in the world, respectively.
TSN has been televising the FRENCH OPEN since 1985. The FRENCH OPEN complements TSN and TSN2’s extensive tennis broadcast schedule, which consists of 600 hours of coverage each year from the biggest events, including all four Grand Slam tournaments and the ROGERS CUP events in Toronto and Montreal.
