TSN Delivers Comprehensive Coverage of the 2015 Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Weekend, Beginning November 6

TSN delivers comprehensive coverage of the Hockey Hall of Fame’s induction weekend, highlighted by the HOCKEY HALL OF FAME GAME on Friday, Nov. 6 and 2015 INDUCTION CEREMONY on Monday, Nov. 9.

This year’s inductees are hockey superstars Sergei Fedorov, Phil Housley, Nicklas Lidstrom, Chris Pronger, and Angela Ruggiero. In addition, former Hockey Canada president Bill Hay and Carolina Hurricanes owner Peter Karmanos Jr. will be inducted into the Builder Category.

TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie receives the prestigious Elmer Ferguson Memorial Award for excellence in hockey writing, and Los Angeles Kings play-by-play commentator Nick Nickson receives the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award for outstanding contributions to hockey broadcasting.

Induction weekend kicks off with a live broadcast of the 2015 HOCKEY HALL OF FAME MEDIA CONFERENCE AND RING PRESENTATION, hosted by TSN’s Gino Reda, on Friday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. ET on TSN4.

HOCKEY HALL OF FAME GAME

TSN delivers exclusive live coverage of the HOCKEY HALL OF FAME GAME, as the Toronto Maple Leafs new head coach Mike Babcock takes on his former team, the Detroit Red Wings, on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. ET on TSN4. TSN’s acclaimed hockey broadcast team of Gord Miller and Ray Ferraro calls all the game action from the Air Canada Centre. To access Leafs games on TSN4, subscribers must live in the Leafs’ designated broadcast region.

The 2015 Hockey Hall of Fame inductees and honoured members will be introduced in a pre-game on-ice ceremony. In the first intermission, TSN Hockey host James Duthie moderates a special Hall of Fame edition of TSN Hockey’s fan-favourite segment, The Quiz, featuring 2015 inductees Fedorov, Housley, Lidstrom, and Pronger. The game’s second intermission features 2015 builder category inductees Hay and Karmanos interviewed by Duthie, and Ruggiero interviewed by TSN’s Mark Masters.

TSN’s live pre-game coverage kicks off with the 6 p.m. ET edition ofSPORTSCENTRE. Interviews with the inductees will also be available for on-demand viewing on TSN.ca.

2015 HOCKEY HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY

TSN shines the spotlight on the legends of the game during comprehensive coverage of the 2015 HOCKEY HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY on Monday, Nov. 9 at 8 p.m. ET on TSN4.

Hosted by TSN’s James Duthie, the 2015 HOCKEY HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY honours Sergei Fedorov, Phil Housley, Nicklas Lidstrom, Chris Pronger, Angela Ruggiero, Bill Hay, and Peter Karmanos Jr. as the newest inductees of the Hockey Hall of Fame.

SPORTSCENTRE reports live from the Hockey Hall of Fame beginning at 6 p.m. ET, leading into a live, on-site edition of TIM HORTONS THAT’S HOCKEY with Gino Reda at 7 p.m. ET on TSN4 and TSN5, which will feature highlights of media honourees McKenzie and Nickson receiving their plaques. Reda tees up the induction ceremony from the red carpet, interviewing the who’s who of the hockey world.

Fans can also tune in to TSN Radio 1050 in Toronto for comprehensive discussion of the 2015 HOCKEY HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY, as the station’s daily drive show, TSN DRIVE WITH DAVE NAYLOR, broadcasts live on-site at the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Following the ceremony, TSN Digital platforms, including TSN.ca and the TSN GOapp, feature video of every acceptance speech, as well as the signing of the Hockey Hall of Fame Official Registra.

In 2012, TSN and the Hockey Hall of Fame announced an agreement extending their long-lasting partnership with a new 10-year sponsorship deal. With this deal, TSN is the official TV and radio broadcast partner of the Hockey Hall of Fame through to 2022.
